Super Spiderman Original Art Cover 231 WowWow! Original cover art to super spiderman and captain britain #231. This is a british comic published by marvel cover dated july 13 1977 and is the first issue in which captain britain appeared with him and shared billing. These was published weekly and featured blakc and white reprints of marvel comics with a little new art. Thsee were serialized so that a regular monthly comic was published in weekly installments. They would print part of the story and end sometimes abruptly. The next issue would sometimes have a new splash page done to start the next part of the story.This issue featured a spiderman story, avengers and captain america. Plus there aws an early captain britain story that was only published in the uk. This was marvel's british version of captain america. I honestly can't say for sure who the cover artist(s) are but at the top of the page it has pencils ll inks fg. If i had to guess i would say it was larry lieber (stan's brother) and frank giacoia who were two bullpen artists at the time. The logo at the top of the page is a stat but everything else is original. There's lots of pencils showing under the inks. At great piece. Teh page diameter is 11x17.
